Mickey Mouse Cake Smash

Drayden turned ONE with a Cake Smash! And on my birthday too… Happy Birthday, cuteness.

Not many people like to work on their birthday, but when you love what you do why wouldn’t you? Especially when your client is as adorable as this kid. Besides, cake smashes are so much fun, I definitely don’t consider this work!

When Amanda contacted me about doing a Cake Smash session for her son Drayden on my birthday, I jumped at the opportunity. I know I’m not the only who gets super excited when I find out someone else’s birthday is the same day as mine. I mean, it’s a special feeling sharing the one day a year of spoils and wishes with someone else. And this little guy was cute!

Amanda told me that Drayden loved Mickey Mouse and wanted the Cake Smash setup to show it. Fortunately, I had recently done a Mickey Mouse Cake Smash a few months before, so when I showed her the images, she fell in love. We tweaked the setup slightly to include a personal touch, but Mickey was present all around little Drayden! Have a look at the photographs to see what I got to experience on my birthday this year.
