Traditional Post Wedding Celebrations

Living in KZN, South Africa, we are spoilt with culture. Our province has so many different religions and cultures, it’s hard to miss them.

This post-wedding celebration was fantastic! Surrounded by the colours, the smells, and traditions of a Zulu post-wedding celebration, it was amazing to experience this event.

Zinhle and Wandile hosted this colourful event at their homes in Wyebank, where the streets were blocked off as they expected around 300 guests to arrive.

From what I’ve seen, there really isn’t any schedule for the day and everyone goes with the flow. You can’t rush tradition, it’s a special time and everyone wants to soak in the fun. Have a look through what I experienced on the day. If you’ve got a traditional event coming up, give me a shout.
