Jordon – Newborn Session

Allow me to introduce you to the newest member of my family, the ever so gorgeous baby Jordon. His Newborn session was done last week, and I loved every minute of it.

Jordon, my newest nephew, was born on the 3 October at Westville Hospital. It’s hard to believe that this little cherub was actually due on the 31 October, but he had other plans and decided that he could no longer wait to meet the world.

The Story

Nicole, Jordon’s mommy, is my sister-in-law and we’ve known each other for about 17 years. We don’t consider ourselves extended family, but rather sisters that grew up next door to each other.

When Nicole told me she was pregnant, I cried! I cried happy tears because my little sister was going to have a baby. Watching as her tummy grew during her pregnancy reminded me so much of my pregnancy with my son. Seeing the changes a woman’s body goes through is literally like watching a miracle unfold in front of you.

Jordon’s Daddy, Matt, works offshore as a commercial diver. He goes off to work overseas for a couple of months and then comes home again for a couple of weeks. Everything was planned, and Matt was due to be home for the birth of his baby at the end of October. Until Jordon decided he’s had enough of the “Womb Life”.

At 35 weeks, Nicole gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, baby boy with me by her side and Matt on the phone getting updated every step of the way as he made the long journey back home to meet his baby.

Being able to watch the birth of my nephew was the most amazing experience I could ever have had. Thank you, Nicole, for allowing me to stand by your side as you welcomed your precious bundle into the world. Thank you, Matt, for trusting me to be with her throughout what I’m going to call the most exciting and emotional week of her life.
