📸 Types of Portrait Sessions I Offer

While I love photographing all kinds of people and occasions, here are some of the most popular portrait sessions I offer:

  • Family sessions
  • Kids’ portraits
  • Pet photography
  • Couples and engagement shoots
  • 6-month baby milestones
  • Matric dance portraits
  • Graduation sessions
  • Best friend and friendship shoots

That said, I’m not limited to these! If you have a unique idea, I’m happy to collaborate with you to create something special and personal.

🌿 Choosing the Right Location

The location of your session plays a big role in the overall look and feel of your portraits. I provide a comprehensive location catalogue with a variety of stunning outdoor options — from coastal views and open fields to urban streetscapes. You’re also welcome to suggest your own favourite spot!

Outdoor sessions are best done early in the morning or late in the afternoon to take advantage of soft, golden-hour lighting. Not an outdoor fan? We can shoot in my studio or even at your home if that’s where you feel most comfortable.

🎈 Props: To Use or Not to Use?

For family sessions, I generally prefer to keep things simple — no props, just genuine connection and classic portraits that stand the test of time. That said, you’re welcome to bring your own props if there’s something meaningful you’d like to include, and I’ll gladly work it into the session where possible.

👗 Outfit Changes

Bringing a second outfit is a great way to add variety to your gallery! Just keep in mind that most outdoor locations don’t have changing facilities, so be prepared to do a quick change in the car if needed. Neutral colours and coordinated tones always work well for timeless results.

👨‍👩‍👧 Who Can Join the Session?

Everyone is welcome! Each portrait package includes a set number of people, but you can always add additional family members or friends for a small extra fee per person. Just let me know in advance so I can plan the space and time accordingly.

⏰ Arrive a Few Minutes Early

Try to arrive about 5 minutes before your scheduled session. It helps reduce any stress, gives you a moment to breathe, and allows you to settle into the location before we start shooting. A relaxed start sets the tone for natural, joyful photos.

🏠 Studio or Home Sessions

While many clients love shooting outdoors, portraits can also be done at your home or in my studio. Home sessions are perfect if you want a more intimate, lifestyle feel. Studio portraits offer a clean, classic look and are great for controlled lighting and privacy.
